Pickles have always been a popular snack and topping on foods like burgers and hot dogs. But the briny, tangy, crisp staple has been having a moment as a food trend, especially on TikTok, where pickled cucumbers have amassed over 9 million views.

Sauce makers like Frank’s RedHot and Hidden Valley Ranch have pounced on the pickled cucumber craze with variants of their classic products. Heinz is the latest to throw its hat into the fermented ring, announcing Pickle Ketchup.

Pickle Ketchup combines Heinz’s signature tomato ketchup with the tangy taste of cucumber pickles. Similarly, the packaging combines both classics on the label. Heinz retains the classic keystone label shape but swaps out the typical tomato red for green. “Pickle” also gets placed at an angle and given a black drop shadow, complemented by an image of a whole pickled cucumber. “Tomato Ketchup” borders the pickle underneath, retaining the red color.
