“Buttur is better.” Buttur, a company started by a husband and wife team trained as an Industrial Designer and Color Specialist, has a mission to create beautiful yet practical products that completely change our experiences with everyday moments into real-life objects. Their Fork and Woodie hangers are impeccably designed and the founders work closely with suppliers to achieve the best results possible.
“The packaging is similar for both hanger designs, being a folded piece of thick paper that holds a pack of 3 hangers together. The letterpress process was used to apply graphics to the packaging. The packaging was designed to show off the most interesting parts of the hangers (neck and ends) while providing a secure fit for a pack of three hangers. The packaging also retains the same dimensional ratio of a stick of butter, which was relevant because our company name is Buttur.”
Everything about the design is sleek, with clean lines and curves of the packaging and the hangers themselves. The front of the label is minimal, featuring only the brand name in a large, black font against a white background. The line offers enough variety to feel luxurious — between the two types of hangers and the color options of silver, black, and the classic wire hanger bronze hue — but they still have a clear direction for their products. Delightfully, even the smallest details were considered in creating the design, all the way down to the tissue paper.
