Coca-Cola's Latest Creations Flavor Inspired By Dreams and the Surreal

Coca-Cola continues to invite consumers to experimental and high-concept soda taste experiences with their new Creations program.

The Coca-Cola Creations program started with the space-inspired Starlight, followed by an exploration into what pixels taste like, and finally, a DJ remixed Coke. Now, Coca-Cola has unveiled its latest and final Creations drop for 2022. Dubbed Dreamworld, the newest Coke Creations explores the “surrealism of the subconscious.”

According to the Atlanta-based soda maker, Dreamworld found inspiration in Gen-Z and the dreamy potential of youth. The label background is a dreamy blue, and the yellow shadow on Coca-Cola’s wordmark gives it a surreal effect. Upsidedown portals lead to purple mountains and liquid metal cacti. Multilayered windows, bubbles, and upside-down clouds get placed throughout the label, and the overall effect is a surreal landscape reminiscent of 90s digital art.

“Coca-Cola Dreamworld taps into Gen Z’s passion for the infinite potential of the mind by exploring what a dream tastes like,” said Alessandra Cascino, creative and shopper program director for Coca-Cola North America, via press release. “Like the Coca-Cola Creations that came before it, Dreamworld plays with the unexpected and will no doubt provoke discovery and debate among consumers…which we welcome.”

Dreamworld officially drops on August 15th and will be available in 20oz bottles and 7.5oz mini-can multipacks in the US and 500ml bottles and 300ml multi-can packs in Canada.
