BirthJays Want To Take Birthday Cake To A Higher Level

Birthdays are a fun reason to get together and have some cake, and sometimes celebrating also includes a wee bit of cannabis.
In a stroke of stoner genius, the folks at BirthJays created a candle substitute that also serves as a joint, which, let’s face it, is a more fun cake topper than a toy pirate ship or a rose made out of frosting.
BirthJays are empty joint cones, which, after filled up with ground cannabis, get placed upon a stake that goes into the cake. A small candle sits on top of the cone, is lit, and after everyone sings and birthday wishes get made, you remove the ends of the BirthJay, and it’s puff-puff-slice time.
The inventive joint-as-a-candle isn’t itself lit, which is probably for the best since ash on top of the cake and wasted marijuana would result in a serious birthday bummer.
Each pack of BirthJays contains five cones, which are designed to look similar to traditional birthday candles, using alternating white and colored stripes. The candle cones sit in a blister pack and dominate the otherwise plain packaging.
BirthJays are available in select shops in Colorado and online at BirthJays.com. Just remember, with birthday cakes, there’s always a theme.
