HP Announces Commitment To Sustainable Ink Innovation With Water-Based Print Solutions

Published

Ahead of printing trade show PRINTING United 2019, HP announced a $200 million commitment towards water-based, sustainable inks, focusing on corrugated packaging and textile applications.

The investment in water-based inks builds upon the success HP has seen with products such as their water-based Latex inks, a durable and safer alternative to ink traditionally used in signage and displays that is less impactful to the environment.

HP’s water-based inks are already in use in corrugated packaging as well as sensitive applications like food packaging. The new investment will enable the tech company to develop the next generation ink, print head, and press technologies, improving performance, quality and sustainability.
