Energy and protein drinks are nothing new. In fact, energy drinks with added protein aren’t a novelty either, with offerings from energy stalwarts like Monster.
But Vuum, founded by Matt Forsey and Valentino Sinacola, is a new take on the combination, using plant-based protein and what they call “natural caffeine” from sources like green tea extract, theanine, and guarana. Additionally, Vuum beverages are carbonated and avoid ingredients that can cause bloating, like lactose, whey, sugar, and artificial sweeteners (Vuum uses stevia). Nor is it like downing a thick, chalky milkshake.
