Toymaker Mattel’s brand Uno’s newest deck isn’t a licensed theme or variation on the game, the newest set is the beginning of the brand’s transition to being plastic-free, and is aptly called “Nothin’ but Paper.”
The FSC-certified version of Uno is 100% recyclable and is not wrapped in cellophane, making it plastic-free as well. Additionally, the cards are printed using soy-based inks and made with water-based glues. According to the brand, Nothin’ but Paper is the first deck to go plastic-free, with all paper card decks ditching the plastic outer wrap sometime next year.
