I watch a lot of horror movies.

For the past 15 years, every October, my wife and I try to watch at least one scary movie every night. While children have slowed our seasonal marathon down, our appetite remains intact.

Good or bad, frightening or downright laughable, we’ve seen it all, mostly. It didn’t always use to be this way, as I can vividly recall watching the John Landis directed music video for Micheal Jackson’s “Thriller,” as well as having to sleep under my bed for a few weeks after watching The Excorcist at far too young an age—incidentally, I was seven, and watching Linda Blair interrupt her Mom’s dinner party to tell one of the guests they’re “going to die up there” and pee on the floor still creeps me the fuck out.
