The Better With Less Jury Sounds Off On Creative AND Responsible Package Design

The 3rd Better With Less – Design Challenge competition invited designers from around the world to create the zero-waste packaging of the future.

The rules? Packaging innovations dreamed up by creatives needed to utilize recyclable materials from renewable sources with designs that improve the experience while decreasing the use of resources and waste.

Organized by Metsä Board, the European producer of premium fiber paperboards, an international jury including renowned packaging design experts from various fields related to packaging, design, brand strategy, and innovation was convened. After the judging concluded and the finalists were selected, a roundtable discussed what they saw. Not only did they share some of their valuable insights on brands and designers collaborating (always difficult), but they discussed the challenges both parties face when it comes to sustainability and innovation.
