‘Rund & Bunt’ (or ‘Round & Colourful’ in english) is a vibrant pizza bar in Frankfurt, bursting with colour and flavour. The restaurant puts good food at the forefront, serving highly addictive pizzas, with rainbow-like crust, made with natural and fresh ingredients.
The people behind R&B wanted an optimistic, bold and vivid look to match the brand’s name, something that would capture their eccentric spirit and love for yummy recipes.

‘We are as flashy as our pizzas: we all come from different backgrounds, cultures, age groups, we all have different stories, talents, tastes and styles. And after trying a lot, mixing and sampling, discussing a lot, we finally came up with our favourite recipes. The selection of our dishes ranges from classic to absolutely bananas and vegans among you can also look forward to an extensive range, as most of the pies at R&B can be ordered vegan’.

To reflect their whimsical approach, their diversity and energy, I created a rich visual identity with expressive typography and a juicy-looking, saturated colour palette at the center.

Instead of pursuing old design tropes, I chose to conceive a set of striking logotypes for each preference or ‘appetite’. This collection was paired with a selection of melting, playful emojis and close-up, crave worthy photography to add insight and message to the brand.
For the packaging I took inspiration from the sparkle of natural ingredients, so no dull tones in sight, just exciting and sharp colours to signal R&B’s passion for contemporary flavours.
