Philou is a line of haircare products. The beauty of this line rests on its organic 3-D form. The approachable lower-case typesetting of ‘philou’ adds to the charm, as well as the matte finish of the bottles. For me, the most interesting detail on these bottles is the mushroom-like cap, although it’s been described as a ‘nipple’. Designed by Yves Behar’s Fuseproject. This was apparently designed in 2000, but it’s still noteworthy. For some reason, I haven’t been seeing any really interesting bottle forms in hair or skincare in the last few years.
