A minimal design that links a range of wines to the history of their own land is the best way to describe the branding of the Karipids wines by Lumionus Design Group.
The design agency was invited to design the labels for a selection of red wines ensuring that the range felt consistent and easily recognizable. Commenting on the project, the team at Luminous Design Group says: “Our aim, besides creating a recognizable, cohesive identity for this series, was to expose the farming culture of these specific varieties in the region.”
The illustrations on the labels are inspired by rare coins of the ancient city of Krannonas, which were discovered during excavations in the area. That is the same soil where the vineyards and winery itself can be found. Each variety of wine was also given a name relevant to the illustration on the coin.
The minimal design, combined with the use of foil, enhances the prestige of the limited edition wines.
