Gemtree is delivering two of my favorite things in one, a sustainably sourced wine in a bottle with a gorgeous, minimalistic label. There is just something so wonderful about a label that can supply all the information I’d like to know in a clean, attractive way.
One could argue that McLaren Vale vignerons Mike and Melissa Brown are environmentalists first, and winemakers second. This is why they converted their vineyards to the gold standard of sustainable and organic practice — biodynamic — and encourage biodiversity in those same vineyards. This is why they developed the Gemtree Wetlands Ecotrail. This is why they’re educating others and leaving a legacy for future generations.
