Lately, more attention is being paid to sustainability and wellness, with many new products addressing the environment and our personal well-being. While plastic-free packaging and probiotics are certainly a start, there are significant opportunities to improve our planet and ourselves that aren’t immediately evident to most of us.

For example, most of us spend most of our time indoors, especially in the winter. We work inside and then clock out, promptly leaving to spend the rest of the day in our homes. However, our cleaning products, furniture, and electronics release a type of pollutant called Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) into the air indoors. VOCs can cause a variety of short and long-term health effects, including headaches, fatigue, and even cancer. Some types of VOCs are also greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming.
