I had debated opening this week’s Friday Wrap-Up by talking about how I’m drafting my fantasy baseball team this weekend in my long-running home league (EMHAWK represent), but I won’t bore the ten or so regular readers of this thing with draft strategy or sleeper picks. Nor will I remind you of what was maybe one of the greatest final outs to any baseball game I’ve ever seen when Shohei Ohtani struck out his Angels’ teammate Mike Trout in the WBC (despite what some clown named “Mad Dog” might tell you).
Although, I guess I just did.
What I can say is that we’re in those first days of spring, which seldom feels like spring when you’re living in New England (we’re somewhere between Fools Spring and Second Winter right now). At least, physically, it doesn’t. Mentally, we’re getting there—we’re thawing out, and it’s a good thing. It’s sort of what I felt reading this Shane O’Neill piece about the joys of letting loose, cringe dancing, 80s MTV, and Chicken Tonight commercials.
