Specialty coffee packaging often leans on minimalism, but Coffee Hunter happily exists on the other side of the pendulum, with color, illustration, and a land of visual discovery. Each origin has its own miniature world on the pack, with toucans and sweeping tropical leaves for Brazil, monkeys tucked into curling vegetation for El Salvador, elephants wandering through lush plant forms for Sumatra, and animals moving through an almost storybook landscape for Kenya.
There’s a playful rhythm of midcentury travel graphics, but they avoid presenting the illustrations as literal portraits of each place. A strong logo keeps the artwork grounded, creating a flexible system that makes single-origin coffee feel like something you cannot wait to explore.
The Coffee Hunter packaging series was designed by Natalia Ankowska while working at Studio Flov. Ankowska, answers a few questions about the design process below.
