Coca-Cola Draws Inspiration From Africa’s Boundless Creativity For Latest Creations Flavor, ‘Wozzaah’

Published

Coca-Cola continues experimenting with different expressions of its signature soda flavor through its Creations program. The Atlanta-based beverage company set its sights on Africa for its latest Creations, celebrating the spirit and vibrancy of the continent, its culture, and its global influence on fashion, film, and music.

The latest Coca-Cola Creations’ name, “Wozzaah,” originates from an isiZulu word for “come here,” and it invites the world to immerse themselves in the African spirit. The can labels, designed by Kenyan artist Joy Richu, are a colorful and dynamic manifestation of that African spirit where Coca-Cola red is accompanied by bright yellow, blue, and green. The only real bit of Coca-Cola red is for the Creations logo in the center—African-inspired folk graphics like big cat patterns, hoops, and dots.
