Since their debut in 2010’s computer-animated film Despicable Me, the diminutive, mischievous yellow Minions have quickly become beloved characters globally and difficult to escape, especially in the form of mom-core memes on social media.
Functional soda brand Olipop, founded in 2018 and already evaluated at $200 million, has also had a rapid rise in popularity and has partnered with Illumination and Universal Pictures for a limited-edition soda inspired by Minions and in time for the release of the latest film in the franchise, Minions: The Rise of Gru, coming this July 1.
