Get Your McNulty On With Old Bay Vodka

Feeding into the Atlantic Ocean, the Chesapeake Bay is the largest estuary in the United States. Living near the bay means easy and plentiful access to tasty sea critters such as oysters, shrimp, “lake trout,” and crabs. It would make sense that the fine folks of Charm City would come up with Old Bay seasoning, a blend of spices that complements seafood, practically anything fried, and even side dishes like mac and cheese and coleslaw.
As versatile as Old Bay might be, is vodka a step too far?
The fine folks at McCormick’s and George’s Beverage, a maker of craft mixers, together with McClintock distillers, are true believers in Old Bay and have concocted a vodka flavored by the renowned spice mix. The 70 proof, four-times distilled spirit is not only powered by a Maryland staple; McClintock’s distillery is an hour west of Baltimore in the city of Fredrick.
Label design is generously seasoned with Old Bay branding, sporting the signature color palette of blue, yellow, and orange and similar typography to the tin labels. Branding on the front of the bottle is 100% Old Bay, with cobranding on the back label and a picture of a seasoning tin, just in case there was any doubt about what this vodka is all about.
Old Bay vodka will be available starting in mid-March, or so says their website.
