Pringles has been rolling out a brand refresh globally, and fans of the stackable chips in the UK are now getting introduced to Pringlesâ new look, including a significant visual update to the brandâs mascot, Mr. P. Unlike the staggered rollout of the new visual identity in the States, UK fans of Pringles will see the entire refresh at once, as did European and the AMEA (Asia, Middle East, and Africa) markets previously.
Mr. Pâs snazzy, streamlined look, which we saw in the US last year, ditches the dated mid-part hairdo, adds expressive eyebrows, and modernizes his mustache. The update adds versatility to Mr. P, and every element of Mr. Pâs face can easily get deployed to give the potato chip mascot the ability to express multiple emotions. A tweak to the browâs shape and a change of eye shape can create a playful wink, for example. That lets Mr. P be the star of the show across all media, including social networks. The changes might be jarring at first, especially for a beloved mascot that hasnât changed much in two decades, but JKRâs makeover gives Mr. P more range than Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer.
