The South American nation of Peru is mostly comprised of the Amazonian rainforest, covering 60% of the country. The lush, dense jungle is one of the most biodiverse places on the planet, home to some plants considered superfoods for their concentration of essential nutrients. Two of those fruits, buriti and camu camu, are full of vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals, forming the base for the functional beverage line Amarumayu, which also seeks to preserve and promote the same forest its superfoods call home.
