To say that 2020 was a rough year is an understatement. The global pandemic upended all of our lives, tragically in too many cases. But COVID also took away many little things we always counted on, such as our beloved fast-food staples. For example, Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza was a fan favorite and menu item for 35 years before it got the ax in the QSR brand’s pandemic menu revamp.
For months, rumors of the popular item’s return have swirled online. Recently, recording artist Doja Cat, whose serious bars in ode to Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza garnered over 8 million views on Tik-Tok, used her Coachella debut to break the news that the ‘za is back, with Taco Bell confirming the fan-favorite will return in May.
