It may come as little surprise to most that Japan, home to popular video game franchises like Super Mario Bros., Sonic the Hedgehog, and Pokémon, is the third largest video game market globally.

But Japan isn’t just the birthplace of Nintendo; the Asian nation is where Cup Noodles were invented and home to the world’s first instant ramen brand, Nissin.

Well, Nissin announced it will enter the gaming arena with a pair of snacks created with gamers in mind. “Gaming Cup Noodles” is garlic and black pepper yakisoba, while “Gaming Curry Meshi” is a ginger keema curry served with rice. Unlike most Cup Noodles, these meals do not contain a broth, making it easier to eat without spilling soup over expensive gaming gear. Additionally, these snacks contain caffeine, niacin, and arginine, all ingredients commonly found in energy drinks for an IRL buff that will keep gamers going strong.
