Marvão Tea Weaves Together Hand-Drawn Patterns

Published

When hand-drawn patterns are paired with clean typography and a crisp panel, the design becomes unexpectedly refined. Which is exactly what makes Marvão, designed by Elisa Tapia de Andrés and Carlos Cuenca Sánchez, so much fun.

Each box features an individual hand-drawn pattern inspired by folk textiles. This is a range that understands that warmth can be a color story, but can also be tactile and visual. Marvão gets it all right, so much so that I’m disappointed that this one is just a conceptual design because I want it in my cupboard.
