Songkran, or Thai New Year, is held every April, and part of the festivities include street parties punctuated by loud music and massive water fights. KFC is adding a little zest to the celebration this year with a limited-edition bucket and clothing collection design in collaboration with street artist TIKKYWOW called “SUMMERWOW.”
The chicken buckets feature Tikkywow’s signature style depicting the Colonel, chickens, and revelers with water guns in tow. Local Thai staples like minibusses and electric poles are also included in the bucket’s illustration. The colorful, blocky mural surrounds a more conventional depiction of Sanders.
