Hershey’s Adds Emojis And Redesigns Their Packaging For The Very First Time

Hershey’s Chocolate Bars have been around since 1900 and haven’t changed much since. The dark wrapper with HERSHEY’S printed across the front in big, bold, silver-colored uppercase letters has for decades been the face for the milk-chocolatey, smooth treat within.

That is, until now. The American Chocolatier is asking, “How do you do, fellow kids?”

Hershey’s will release a special-edition bar imprinted with emojis instead of the brand name, and while the change is temporary (insert sad face emoji), it’s the first of its kind in 119 years for the iconic chocolate bar.
