Football Manager 2020 Disk Packaging To Be 100% Recyclable

For many gamers, purchasing a game nowadays is as simple as a few clicks or button taps.

It’s hard to argue against the convenience of online game storefronts, but some gamers still prefer purchasing their games on disk, and this preference incurs environmental costs, as most come packaged much like physical home media, in a thick, plastic case wrapped in a nearly impenetrable plastic film.

Makers of the popular franchise Football Manager announced a bold physical packaging redesign for 2020’s installment; the new packaging is made from 100% recycled cardboard, as is the instruction manual. The ink used is water and vegetable-based; even the shrink wrap is recyclable, although not in all municipalities.
