Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM) is celebrated in May to reflect on Asian Americans’ and Pacific Islanders’ history in the U.S. and observe their rich culture and heritage. This year, to honor the month, Bowlcut founder Crystal Ung and Korean American fashion designer Ji Won Choi have teamed up to create a limited-edition Gochujang sauce to commemorate the blend of food cultures they grew up with.

The sauce launched on May 1st and comes infused with a new tangy depth with some added texture and a hint of garlic. “As with all our sauces, Bowlcut x Ji Won Choi was meticulously sourced and developed with the same natural ingredients and personal care you find in family cooking,” shares Ung. “After all, it’s thanks to parents like Ji’s mom and my dad, who raised us on the importance of good food, that we can decide what eating well looks like. As we like to say: no fake additives, flattened flavor notes, or shortcuts. Only Bowlcuts.”
