In the world of wine, invention often comes in the form of subtle tweaks to tradition, slight variations that aim to capture the palate of a new generation of consumers.
But every once in a while, a true innovator comes along to shake things up entirely. And Kristen Knapp, the founder of HEARTBEAT’s, is set to change how consumers experience rosé.
HEARTBEAT’s is a testament to Knapp’s passion for crafting beverages that resonate with modern tastes while maintaining a deep respect for the craft. The wine celebrates a youthful spirit, diverse preferences, and a desire for something extraordinarily savory. “I got laughed out of every room I was in until I met winemaker Gianna Fugazi in Sebastopol; she instantly loved the concept. She created a unique process of fermenting peppers to create a 100% pepper wine, which we then blend back into rosé –– the result is a smooth, sexy, and surprisingly refreshing product,” shares Knapp. “I wanted to create something that did what Fireball did for whiskey and what 21 Seeds did for tequila. HEARTBEAT is introducing real product innovation to a heritage category, redefining the “how”, the “when”, and the “who” of its consumption. We’re bringing new people to wine: cocktail drinkers, spritz lovers, and even seltzer crushers. Because we’re not rosé, we’re hot rosé.”
