Dieline’s Friday Wrap-Up: A Campari Redesign, Frank Kozik Love, and The Return Of Old Bay Goldfish

Published

If you came of age in the 90s, Frank Kozik’s darkly weird and wonderfully cartoonish posters and album covers were everywhere, whether it was your local record store or the foulest bathroom you ever encountered at your favorite dingy club that kinda-sorta carded. I don’t know if this is exactly the kind of thing MTV News would have reported on back then (at least maybe before the existence of TRL or Jersey Shore), but Kozik passed away suddenly this past week.

In addition to running Man’s Ruin Records and starting the vinyl toy company Kidrobot, he created posters for the likes of Soundgarden, Helmet, the Beastie Boys, Nirvana, Morphine, Pearl Jam, Butthole Surfers, Sonic Youth, Unsane, Babes in Toyland, the Pixies, and created record covers for the Melvins and Queens of the Stoneage.
