Plant-based and stevia-sweetened beverage brand Zevia has revealed a complete brand refresh designed by Turner Duckworth. Additionally, Zevia has announced new flavors, including Peach Passionfruit Energy, Tropical Pineapple Tea, Vanilla Cola Soda, and Watermelon Energy.

The new Zevia logo finds inspiration in leaves with letters featuring rounded ends reminiscent of the shapes. “Inspired by the scalloped edge of a leaf, the Zevia wordmark has evolved to define a new visual language for the entire brand,” said Daniel Ioannou, creative director at Turner Duckworth, in a press release. “A bold statement that pays tribute to Zevia’s agricultural roots, the new logo blends fluid leaf-life forms and geometric shapes resulting in a mark that is sentimental, yet fresh.”

The fresh soda can design is contemporary, with globular, organic shapes and an appealing color palette. Zevia’s iced tea cans retain their overall look and feel but change the ingredient illustrations on the front. Zevia’s Kidz labels also take inspiration from their fruit flavors, while the energy drink line uses vibrant colors and wavy lines that convey liveliness.

“We are taking Zevia beyond niche and natural to the mainstream in our distribution and now in our brand design as we continue to carry out our mission of addressing global health centered on reducing sugar consumption with affordable, delicious beverages,” Amy Taylor, Zevia CEO, said in a press release. “For the first time, we have updated the entire look and feel of our brand, which we believe will resonate with consumers. Our distinctive positioning of ‘feel-good flavor’ comes to life in our new design, which acts as a beacon on shelf and brings more consumers on the journey to better health without any trade-offs.”

Zevia’s refreshed look will roll out in March, starting with the brand’s Creamy Root Beer flavor. Additionally, Zevia is replacing its plastic six-pack rings with new cardboard packaging.
