Wild Deodorant Will Ship You A Plastic-Free Refill

Not that we have much use for deodorant while working from home, but for those still fighting the good fight against funk, finding a plastic-free deodorant still presents a challenge.

Even the all-natural stuff, free of aluminum, parabens, and artificial fragrances, usually comes in a plastic package or applicator that isn't refillable. It's the lack of sustainable packaging that inspired the founders of Wild to create an all-natural deodorant that uses a refillable applicator, and ships plastic-free refill inserts.

Designed and developed with studio Morrama, Wild's deodorants consist of a sleek, anodized aluminum applicator available in one of three gender-neutral colors—aqua, coral, and silver—that looks fresh off an Apple production line. The small plastic details in the reusable applicator consist of recycled material, and the refills come in one of 5 unisex scents, featuring rose, citrus, coconut, mint, and bergamot.

The refill inserts come in a compostable wrap made entirely from bamboo pulp, supposedly, supposedly the first of its kind. To further their sustainability initiatives, they made their mailer both cost-effective and convenient, as it fits in a standard UK mailer. Wild ships at least three refills, saving subscribers money and providing enough on-hand that customers won’t need to buy an “emergency” deodorant that comes in plastic. Additionally, consumers can choose from three different subscriptions for the DTC brand-two, three, or four months, which come to think of it, feels like a little too much deodorant?

Wild is available directly as a subscription service, they ship worldwide, and subscribers have access to limited-edition scents and goodies.
