For International Women’s Day, FCB Inferno have redesigned decks of playing cards so that Queens rule supreme.
The new way to play cards – where Queens outrank Kings – is called #Queenrules.
The limited-edition packs have been crafted with the help of sixteen female illustrators from all over the world, sourced through womenwhodraw.com, a website that champions female artists – especially those of colour, LBTQ+ and other minority groups. The brief was to celebrate women of all different shapes and sizes and challenge the perception of what a Queen looks like.
The project will also see a live artist (the wonderful Jacqueline Bissett) working in-house to immortalise iconic Queens from TV, music and film into our playing cards.
