Every kitchen should have a premium bottle of olive oil; it’s just one of those things that doesn’t seem like it would make a difference, but it truly does. Ilípula olive oil comes from a family farm in Pedrera, a town in the southern highlands of Seville. Derived from the Hojiblanca olive and milled during the first fall harvest on November 20th, 2014, the oil is balanced in nuances. For the bottle, Buenos días wanted to create something that would reflect these unique qualities and place Ilípula as a premium, one-of-a-kind choice.
“We wanted to play with the idea of nature. With the fact that this olive oil is extremely conscious with the environment and it’s produced under the consideration of both the olive tree and nature. For that reason we create the image of the dragonfly mixing illustration with the leaves of the 'hojiblanca' olive tree. We want to make the experience as natural as it could be, for that reason we use Barbedor type, because of its pen trace. For the bottle we choose one that reminds us of old medicine bottles.”
Ilípula’s packaging takes us away to this tiny town where the oil is created with a small-town, cozy vibe. The care and dedication that goes into the product is apparent from the simple yet charming label. The off-white and yellow hues remind us of golden hour, the time at sunrise and sunset when the light is soft. With a dragonfly on the front, the packaging looks earthy and natural. Each batch number is printed on the front, telling the consumer that this is not some mass-produced olive oil, but a lovingly created and bottled product just for them.
