Adobe has announced the latest integration of its Artificial Intelligence (AI) generative engine, called Firefly, adding it to the popular Illustrator application. Adobe users can now dynamically change color palettes based on a text prompt in their Illustrator file using what they call “Generative Recolor.”
According to Adobe, with the addition of Firefly to Illustrator, designers can significantly reduce the time it takes to apply different color treatments to projects like logos and packaging. Instead of manually changing colors, users can use text-based prompts like “80s neon vaporwave” or “autumn season,” and Firefly will immediately offer different options.
“Adobe Illustrator is the tool behind many of the world’s most iconic designs, from brand logos to product packaging,” said Ashley Still, senior VP of digital media at Adobe, via press release. “Firefly will help customers accelerate their creative process and save countless hours while facilitating rapid ideation, experimentation, and asset creation.”
