The Y2K aesthetic isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, especially now that we’ve officially freed Britney.
TikTok is responsible for bringing the techno-inspired, utopian vibe into every facet of life, including, but certainly not limited to, graphic design and packaging design. The aesthetic focuses on vivid color palettes, shiny, holographic characteristics, and artificially nostalgic typography. The combination of all the elements has the potential of quickly crossing into kitschy territory, but when executed with intention, the dreamy ease of the early 2000s comes back in droves.
