Regular degular milk’s been on the outs for a while, and oat milk’s smooth, dairy-like taste and eco-friendliness has made it the de facto choice for the past few years. Not so fast though! The brand Tache has entered the ring with their pistachio-based take on alt-milk, and they’re upping the ante with a trendy boxed latte.
The branding comes courtesy of an-in house design, which applies a nutty palette and sophisticated serif to the box. It features a Memphis-inspired illustration of a figure balancing a cup and a pot of the coffee, infusing an on-trend (and appropriate) Global Village Coffeehouse vibe into the design.
The casual, irreverent promo photos imagine the drink as part of a hurried morning routine, popping up clean and unvarnished next to crumpled receipts, lipstick-smeared cups, and the smashed breakfasts of someone with a train to catch. With the appearances of New York icons like shmeared bagels and black and white cookies, you can almost hear cars honking in the background.
