Finding and keeping a job is tough for anyone, but it can be especially difficult for the neurodivergent. Even a typical interview can present an obstacle that is impossible to overcome. It’s estimated that the unemployment rate among the neurodivergent is as high as 40 percent. Unsurprisingly, many individuals within that community are either under/unemployed or are only offered the lowest-tier jobs and are often underpaid.

Popcorn for the People is a snack brand that aims to provide better employment opportunities for the neurodivergent. Cofounder Steven Beir, himself on the autistic spectrum, started Popcorn for the People with his parents to provide the kind of jobs he struggled to land for people like himself.
