JKR Brings Stella Artois Unfiltered To Life Just In Time For Summer

There's no better time than summer to release a new beer, and Stella Artois is taking full advantage of the timing. The Belgian brewer released its first new beer to market in 15 years, highlighting a refreshing, tasty brew dubbed Stella Artois Unfiltered.  

Stella Artois worked with renowned design agency Jones Knowles Ritchie (JKR) to develop a toolkit of digital assets, brand identity, motion design, and a packaging system that highlights the premium qualities of the unfiltered beverage.

Because of the hazy, wholesome notes that reflect the brand's historical brewing methods, the packaging system and logo underscore an elevated drinking experience reflected through the upward-sloping design system. The packaging highlights the brand's notable past and acknowledges its creative thought through the artful blend of traditional design with thoughtfully modern details. 

The new line maintains Stella's well-established green bottle, but the design carries the green throughout the label and box. The additional advantage of green within the design highlights the new unfiltered line's natural taste while continuing the brand's standard use of the color.  

In tandem with the new release, Stella Artois worked with JKR to design a mobile pop-up brewery so the brand could share its beer across cultural events and celebrations.
