Inditex, the parent company of Spanish apparel retailer Zara, has announced a new line of makeup which includes over 130 different colors and includes a full range of cosmetics for eyes, face, lips, and nails to be sold under the “Zara Beauty” sub-brand. In addition to being sold online in many markets starting May 12th, select Zara retail outlets will now feature a dedicated department for the new cosmetics line.
Developed in line with Zara’s “There is no beauty, only beauties” slogan, the new makeup line comes designed to be inclusive and compatible with a wide range of skin. Additionally, the broad range of colors and finishes invites folks to experiment with the new products to create a uniquely personal form of art and expression. At the helm of the new range is UK-based makeup artist Diane Kendal, with packaging designed by agency Baron & Baron, the same firm responsible for Zara’s current, overlapping letters logo.
In addition to being inclusive, Zara Beauty’s packaging, which includes nods to the Brand’s Z, such as the slanted lipstick containers, is also designed to be refillable, adding built-in sustainability to the new product range.
Zara Beauty will be available in Europe, North America, China, South Korea, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand at launch. The firm says the line will roll out to other markets at a later date.
