Christmas Isn't Coming Any Sooner, But Dunkin' Holiday Cups Are Already Here

Besides the days getting shorter, the leaves going away, and the air getting colder, one way to tell we’re in the final days of the year is the arrival of holiday coffee cups. The gleeful change in our daily routine is a harbinger of days spent eating, drinking, and being merry with close ones.

Also, 2020 needs to go home. Like, now.

Unfortunately, the debut of this year’s winter cups from Dunkin’ (by JKR, naturally) won’t make time go by any faster. However, they are still a pleasantly festive bit of seasonal joy and perhaps a fount of hope that 2021 will be better (not that the bar is all that high).

The new cups retain the brand’s signature white and pink colors and typography, which naturally convey fun and revelry, and is given seasonal flare by replacing orange with green apostrophes. Plus, each cup sports Dunkin’s name for the winter campaign—“Cheersin.’” According to the coffee and doughnuts chain, Cheersin’ is “all about bringing some much-needed celebration and togetherness, and showing appreciation for the people in our lives who made this year possible.”

In addition to new cups and seasonal menu items like the gingerbread latte, peppermint mocha, and chai oatmeal latte, Dunkin’ also dropped a new music video featuring Tik-Tok stars Miranda Rae, Cale Brown, Tre Clements, and Honey B, produced by JKR.

By announcing its holiday cups and campaign in OCTOBER, Dunkin’ beat coffee rival Starbucks this year in the annual unveiling of holiday-themed menus and cups, a highly anticipated event for fans. The first salvos in the annual “war on Christmas” have already been launched as well.

The Siren needs to pick up the pace.
