HempFusion, Inc. is looking for a rockstar Creative Director who can help take both our CBD and probiotic brands to the next level. Our Creative Director will conceptualize and execute game-changing design and messaging across everything we do, from retail marketing and packaging to digital and social content. Our ideal candidate comes with a high level of creativity and project management skills and the energy and ability required to oversee broad change and the minor details that matter. You’ll report to our CMO and work closely with her to strategically craft the creative design and messaging direction for the company as we move from our recent past as a young startup to our new identity as a public company playing the long game for success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee and maintain the strategy and creative direction of consumer and retail facing creative
  • Develop original breakthrough ideas for a variety of marketing touch-points
  • Manage packaging rebrand, ensure voice brand messages match across channels
  • Mentor and encourage creative team members to foster a positive work environment
  • Anticipate problems that may impede a project from completing on time and implement solutions
  • Report progress of projects at major stages of their conceptions, creation, and execution 
  • Ensure all designs and content reflect a unified brand voice 
  • Establish and maintain brand standards
  • Revise presentations, approve/reject ideas, provide feedback to the team
  • Mentor & develop creative team members
  • Establish design guidelines, standards, and best practices
  • Maintain and enforce creative design standards across various mediums
  • Communicate & develop design ideas
  • Lead and mentor team members
  • Set performance targets for the creative department and ensure deadlines are met

Qualifications

How Do you Know You’re a Fit?  

  • You have recent experience working as Creative Director in CPG Setting; Understanding of hemp & supplement industries; experienced with supplements preferred
  • You possess a strong understanding of digital and traditional designs with retail branding and digital marketing experience
  • You have a strategic marketing mindset with strong verbal communication skills
  • You’ve got in-depth knowledge of brand development & marketing models with experience in design
  • You have knowledge of and experience with dealing with packagers, come from a background with managing rebrands for retail and digital
  • You know the difference in marketing to different channels and target markets, can market across generations
  • You understand messaging as a part of the creative process
  • You’re keenly aware of brand story, creating and matching brand voice across channels
  • You’re a skilled leader with the ability to meet and exceed deadlines
  • You’re experienced with package redesigns/rebrands
  • You have an excellent understanding of graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD, and other visual software
  • You bring experience using project management software. We use Asana.
  • You have a great attitude and genuine enthusiasm for good design and messaging
