Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Production Artist to manage and execute on studio wide production deliverables, ensuring they meet our clients’ high quality of standards located in Morristown, NJ.

Your role will be to collaborate with the design team, offering production guidance and troubleshooting along the way up until the final stages of development to ensure accuracy and optimized results. To be successful in this position, you must have strong attention to detail, technical skills and meticulous work ethic, including an eye for detail and project management experience. Ultimately, you will ensure all of our production portfolio meets and exceeds our client’s expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive understanding of packaging, especially CPG packaging (5+ years of experience)
  • Experienced with working in or for a design firm
  • Collaborate with Creative and Production team to develop and troubleshoot layout to mechanical execution process in efforts to enhance and optimize project results
  • Assist the Creative team in the building of digital layouts when needed

  • Work directly with project managers, production managers, and art directors to forecast daily and short-term studio workload, and ensure that deadlines are maintained and workload is managed efficiently
  • Ability to assess time to complete tasks and adhere and manage deliverable timelines both in team and solo scenarios
  • Conduct pre-flight and technical integrity checks on all files originating from Creative department, including final review of file specifications prior to release and ensuring adherence to standards of department and vendors
  • Able to precisely execute mechanical files for primary and secondary packaging, POS, and other support marketing materials for the full range of CPG companies including food, beverage, personal care, OTC, electronics, and household
  • Understanding of color profiles and CMYK & RGB color workflows
  • Strong communication skills and able to multitask between execution and project management
  • Well-versed in the printing process and able to prepare files appropriately for the various press types
  • Attention to detail, quality, critical specifications, and production requirements
  • Ability to work with precision under rigorous deadlines, and extended daily schedules when necessary
  • Hands-on packaging comping / prototype assembly and presentation material assembly
  • Experienced with working directly with comping, pre-press and printing vendors and willing to go on press checks
  • Excellent proficiency in all Adobe Creative Suite programs
  • Capable of interacting with clients effectively and appropriately though email, phone calls and in person
