TREE BOTTOM WINES
Cult Partners on 12/14/2018
Have you ever wondered what heavy metal luxury looks like? Friends and Heavy Metal connoisseurs Mike Henry and Scott Alexander came to Cult Partners to revamp the packaging for their Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. Mike and Scott wanted a label with a luxury feel but still gave the nod to their love of Heavy Metal Music. They also wanted to hide references in the label to their family and their other passion the San Francisco Giants. Cult Partners’ solution was to imagine a metal head going to an event in a tuxedo. It would still be a tuxedo, but it wouldn’t look like your dad’s tuxedo. What comes across is a very classy wine label with ghostly and haunted roots in the background. The fox head logo was collaged together using a tree ring print from a stump on the family property. There are seven notches in the bottom as a reference to the seven family siblings. Finally, the type is arranged around a diamond a subtle reference to a baseball diamond.
