Batteliek is a microbrewery, microdistillery and lemonade factory established in a former church in Mechelen, Belgium. It’s a marvellous place where alchemy and industry intertwine. Besides a production site, it is also a restaurant and bar where the drinks and experimental cuisine are sure to excite your senses. The illustration-heavy packaging design for the Batteliek home-made beers, spirits and lemonades reflect the experimental character of those drinks, inspired by fantasies and stories of 19th century explorers and writers. And the labels connect to the interior design with its industrial grid system, mimicking the piping of the many installations and industrial elements of the de- & reconstructed church building.
