Alive & Kicking launched with the idea that cannabis products don’t need to be so strong that it knocks you into another dimension. Instead, cannabis should accentuate all your activities. To bring this to life, Alive & Kicking created a packaging experience true to their name. The Los Angeles based company launched with a light THC pre-roll product that pops with hot pink. Even though they include 14 pre-rolls, they kept the packaging slim and easy to carry. They cleverly added a slot to add a small humidity pack within the slim packaging to make sure herb stays fresh. They included a mascot, the capybara. Those who know the creature can immediately recognize that they embody the perfect characteristics for the brand and product. Small, insider details such as making the total weight of product 4.20g provide an element of play. Everything about the branding here shows how integrated the design is with product development.
