RSVP TODAY: STUDIO OF THE YEAR AUGE DESIGN LIVE DECODED EPISODE

Buche & Gran Buche

When I first went to visit the vineyard where this wine is from, the owners explained, in great detail, the peculiarity of the terroir: the reddish clay soil; the unique microclimate which allows the vines to wake up covered with dew drops in this mostly dry part of Spain; how thanks to that they can collect the grape later than the rest of the surrounding vineyards, with all the benefits that this means for the wine. The design is a reflection of all these characteristics, to show the complexity of the terroir, the vineyard and the resulting wine itself. Also, the word Buche - the name given to the range - brought to mind ideas such as fleshy, succulent, exuberant.
