5+8 is behind the design for Souther Star Brewing’s Mexican Hot Chocolate Stout Style beer. The result is a decadent design drenched in Oaxaca-inspired graphics that are rich while telling the beer’s story. The beer’s ingredients are told through the color palette, chocolate, vanilla bean, and cinnamon, and the subtle nod to the flavors is the perfect touch.
Southern Star Brewing was planning to release a Mexican Hot Chocolate Stout Style beer and we wanted to incorporate some traditional elements, such as a Oaxaca style cup and traditional patterns to reflect the brew’s ingredients: chocolate, vanilla bean and cinnamon. Papel picado was used to feature the brewery’s information and key ingredients. The neck label was replaced with ‘Cerveza Para la Gente Que Le Gusta el Chocolate’ – Beer for People Who Like Chocolate as an additional Easter egg.
