Jose Cuervo Releases 2023 Limited-Edition Box Inspired The Rugged Landscape Of Jalisco
by Rudy Sanchez on 01/13/2023 | 1 Minute Read
Tequila maker Jose Cuervo has been producing agave-based spirits for over 227 years. Despite centuries of making tequila, growing, fermenting, and distilling, the beloved spirit hasn’t changed much for the family-owned brand.
The backdrop of rugged landscapes and fields of agave plants serve as inspiration for Reserva de la Familia’s 2023 limited edition box. Reserva de la Familia is Jose Cuervo’s artisanal, ultra-premium, small-batch tequilas, representing the finest offering from the family-owned brand.
Named Structuring a Landscape, 2023’s Reserva de la Familia’s box was designed by artists Rolando Flores and Gabriel Cázares, members of the Mexico-based Tercerunquinto Collective. Flores and Cázares traveled to Tequila, Jalisco—the home of Jose Cuervo, returning to their studio inspired by the dark and bright obsidian from the dormant volcano, the reddish hue of the rocky terrain, and the greens of the agave plants. The artists deconstructed the landscape into abstract, geometric shapes to celebrate the land of tequila and the Jose Cuervo family. The hand-blown bottles are each individually numbered, the neck dipped in glass, and adorned with the Jose Cuervo family crest.
Jose Cuervo’s Reserva de la Familia’s 2023 limited edition box is available now at select retailers for a suggested price of $185.
