Huggies and Kristen Noel Crawley Team Up To 'Take Back The T-Shirt'

Having kids ain’t cheap.

One of the most significant expenses new parents face is diapers. According to the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN), 1 in 3 American families struggle with diaper needs and the ability to purchase these essentials for their little ones. And, as Eminem reminded us, these goddamn food stamps don’t buy diapers. There are no diaper assistance programs like SNAP, forcing those already struggling financially to spend a significant portion of their income on nappies. Many parents have even resorted to using alternatives like t-shirts to fill the gap and take care of their children in the best way they can, given the lack of funds to buy diapers.

Moms and dads making do with t-shirts as substitutes for clean diapers is the inspiration for Huggies’ latest campaign, and they teamed up with designer and founder of KNC beauty Kristen Noel Crawley to “Take Back the T-Shirt” and raise awareness for diaper need.

Timed with National Diaper Need Awareness Week (September 24th to October 2nd), Huggies will offer three t-shirts featuring bold graphics by Crawley and donate 100% of the sales for every shirt purchased, excluding shipping, to NDBN. The t-shirts also feature QR codes and the 1-in-3 statistic.

“As a mother, I know no parent should have to stress about how to afford diapers for their baby,” said Kristen Noel Crawley via press release. “Working with a brand like Huggies that is so invested in helping to end diaper need is so important, and I hope my limited-edition T-shirts inspire others to help do the same.”
